      "body": "VLOEI is a one-component, polymer-modified, mineral-based dry mix. The powder is mixed with water on site and spread over the prepared substrate using a squeegee or trowel.\n\nDevelopment focuses on application to mineral-surfaced bituminous roofing membranes. The compound is applied directly to the surface, eliminating individual board cutting. Substrate preparation, adhesion trials, uniform mixing and curing form part of the proposed process.\n\nVLOEI is under development. The following information describes the intended product composition and preliminary planning values. Application approval and tested performance values are not yet available."

      "title": "Intended application",
      "body": "An additional mineral covering and protective layer on suitable roofs, particularly around photovoltaic installations.\n\nThe primary intended substrate is a mineral-surfaced bituminous membrane. Suitability must be checked for the specific roof build-up. Other membranes and substrates require a separate assessment.\n\nUse as standalone roof waterproofing or as a verified fire protection measure is not currently approved."

      "body": "VLOEI combines cementitious binders, graded mineral aggregates and fine fillers, glass fibres, and polymer and functional additives.\n\n| Material feature | Intended benefit |\n| --- | --- |\n| Cementitious and reactive mineral binders | Formation of a solid, continuous mineral layer |\n| Graded aggregates and mineral fine fillers | Dense material structure and uniform application |\n| Glass-fibre reinforcement | Limiting cracking and improving cohesion |\n| Polymer modification | Improving adhesion and mechanical resistance |\n| Water-repellent additives | Reducing capillary water absorption |\n| Processing aids | Supporting a homogeneous, spreadable mix |\n\nThe formulation pursues these objectives. Their extent in the finished product must be determined by trials and testing. Fibre reinforcement and polymer modification do not by themselves establish verified crack-bridging performance."

      "body": "| Property | Current status |\n| --- | --- |\n| Product type | Fibre-reinforced, polymer-modified, cement-bound dry mix |\n| Components | One-component powder, mixed with water on site |\n| Colour | Grey; shade depends on raw materials |\n| Intended packaging | 25 kg bag |\n| Intended application method | Squeegee or trowel |\n| Primary substrate | Prepared, mineral-surfaced bituminous membrane; suitability evidence pending |\n| Thickness used in calculations to date | Approx. 3 mm on average; final application requirement to be determined |\n| Indicative dry-powder consumption at 3 mm | Approx. 5.40 kg/m² |\n| Indicative coverage per 25 kg bag | Approx. 4.6 m² at 3 mm, without material allowance |\n| Mixing water for initial trials | Starting point approx. 4.0 litres per 25 kg powder; not an approved dosage |\n| Calculated fresh mass using these assumptions | Approx. 6.26 kg/m² including mixing water |\n| Mass of the hardened layer | To be determined |\n| Working time and curing period | To be determined |\n| Application temperatures | To be established |\n| Shelf life | To be determined |\n\nConsumption, coverage, mixing water and fresh mass are linked calculation assumptions, not measured product properties. Their relationship to thickness must be verified against actual yield. Substrate profile, irregularities and application losses affect material demand."

      "title": "Proposed application sequence",
      "body": "1. Assess the substrate and roof build-up\n\nCheck the condition, load capacity and compatibility of the existing waterproofing and the additional roof load. Remove loose material and contaminants that reduce adhesion. Adhesion trials will establish the necessary preparation and any primer.\n\n2. Mix the material\n\nMix the dry product uniformly with clean water. Water addition, mixing equipment, mixing time and any required maturation time will be established during trials.\n\n3. Spread the compound\n\nApply VLOEI uniformly using a squeegee or trowel. Check thickness and consumption. Junctions, outlets, penetrations and movement joints require separate detailing.\n\n4. Allow to cure\n\nProtect the fresh layer from adverse weather during curing. Curing measures, protection duration and the point at which further loading is possible will be established by application trials.\n\nThis sequence is for trial planning and does not yet replace an approved application instruction."

      "title": "Water exposure and mechanical behaviour",
      "body": "The formulation targets a dense mineral structure and reduced capillary water absorption. Watertightness, performance under standing water and suitability for long-term weather exposure have not yet been demonstrated.\n\nAdhesion to roofing membranes, flexural strength, abrasion, shrinkage and behaviour under temperature-related substrate movement are subjects of the planned trials. Walkability, crack bridging and service life can only be stated after appropriate evaluation."

      "title": "Reaction to fire",
      "body": "The development objective is reaction-to-fire class A1. No classification of the finished product is currently available.\n\nCalculated estimates of calorific value form part of formulation development and are not stated here as tested product properties. They also do not constitute classification of the complete roof build-up."
