VlamShield is part of a German group of companies with experience in fire protection for photovoltaic installations. Through VlamShield, we are expanding our presence in the Netherlands. We focus on mineral protective boards and roof coatings for commercial flat roofs, with solutions for new construction, renovation and existing PV installations.
Our starting point
Why we start with the roof build-up.
PV fire protection is often sold using a single figure: A1, millimetres or euros per square metre. Installation needs more than that. An intact membrane, limited structural capacity or modules already in place may influence the choice more than the board price.
VlamShield brings together mineral boards, fibre composites and roof coatings for commercial PV roofs. We compare the work your roof needs: new waterproofing, dry board installation or the application and curing of a roof coating. This lets you assess material costs and installation work together.

Read evidence carefully
A1 describes a material's reaction to fire. A roof test examines a particular assembly. We keep those statements separate so a certificate does not become a promise for every installation.
Explain the limitations too
Weight, moisture, labour and application conditions all belong in the decision. A solution fits only when its limitations fit the project as well.
