When replacing the membrane, plan SHEET beneath it. If the membrane stays, compare VLOEI mineral roof coating with WEER water-resistant exterior boards. Added weight, fixing and the installation sequence then guide the choice.

Where each layer sits, and what it does there.
Select a layer below or above the waterproofing in the section. Below the membrane, the mineral layer is sheltered from direct weather exposure. Above it, rain, frost, wind and contact with the existing membrane also matter.

What a mineral layer delivers in concrete terms.
A firm substrate below the membrane
SHEET is planned between insulation and a new membrane. The mineral protection and load-spreading board sits beneath the waterproofing layer. Support, joints and loads are matched to the specific construction.
Exterior boards beneath the PV array
WEER is planned above the existing waterproofing beneath PV as an additional mineral protective layer. For PVC-P, mineral-surfaced bitumen, PIB and TPO/FPO, the contact layer, drainage and wind restraint are matched to the specific roof.
Mineral roof coating for complex roof shapes
VLOEI is spread over the prepared substrate with a squeegee or trowel. This accommodates different geometries but introduces mixing and curing time. With existing PV, the work area must be accessible; partial removal may be necessary.
The right evidence for the right layer
We separate strictly: reaction to fire of the material, performance of the complete roof assembly and system assessments. The project proposal states which document belongs to which layer.
